I took several photos with and without the flash, this one although yellowish from the flourescent lighting seems to show the background off better - there is a turquoise patch in the top right corner and mixed with the purple there is definitely a royal blue hue but IRL the purple is lovely :o)

Page for Yolanda from Sian
Yolanda's theme is "favourite stamps" so in the end I went for Dylusions, Tim Holtz and She Art stamps - very hard to choose cos I've loooaaadds of gorgeous stamps. I sprayed the background with purple and turquoise dylusions sprays and used purple, blue and red to colour the main image in. I stamped She Art backgrounds in black and the Timmy quote in Stampin Ups white craft ink. Hope you like it Yolanda :o)

AJ Page for Karen
Here is my page for Karen.
I like the quote below so thought I would make an AJ page using it.
And a matching ATC as well.
Hope you like it Karen, its on the way to you in the mail.
Thanks for looking

My AJ for Stan
I have journalled the word 'accepted' for Stan's CJ. I'm not terribly confident in being free and splodgy yet, in true AJ stylee but think I like it a lot. I actually prefer it to scrapping (gasp, sacrilege I feel) and, having had a fondle through my stamps and sprays I think I'll get into it quite a lot now and loosen up..... Anyway, I had a happy time with dylusions and perfect pearls sprays, and rooting through my RianDesign collection... Happy days.

AJ Page for Leanie
Somewhat late, but at least still in the right month, here is Leanie's AJ page. Her theme was free for all. Tough call. The first page I did turned out really quite dark and sinister (and may be recycled for Karen lol), the next 2 or 3 attempts ended up in the bin, but here is the final version for Leanie. Not at all what I set out to do but there you go. Hope it works for you Leanie dear.

A Page for Lexi from Sian
Hello Secret Swappers :)
I've finally finished what I think should have been my September page (sorry Lexi!) - Lexi wanted quotes, sayings, thoughts or poems. So I turned to one of my favourite poets and philosopers... Edward Monkton! For anyone who doesn't know who he is buy one of his books immediately!!! I recommend "Life". I recreated one of his lovely musings in a slightly more art journally style and here it is:

This is his original so you understand what I'm on about...
I sprayed a fabric ATC to use as my "box" and attached it with a ribbon, I sprayed the background with Dylusions, stamped with Dylusions and drew my own butterflies.
Anyway hope lexi likes it as she's waited long enough for it. Eek. Sian xx

CJ entry for Cronie - How do you feel today?
Well, you asked! How do I feel today? Here's your answer.
I used an image from a magazine advertising the museums of Cognac as it seemed to fit the bill. I cut it out and stuck it down with gel medium on a gessoed page, then added lots of red, orange and yellow paint. I used a Tim Holltz clock mask, although you can barely see it, and some Timmy stamps. Once I rubbed off the image it was a bit patchy but it reminds me of many of the old houses here which have painted adverts on which are now peeling and fading, so it stayed out of the bin! Stamped the title with some Technique Tuesday stamps, added glossy accents and white oil pastel shadows, then stamped the words underneath with some other stamps which I can't recall the make of. The title looks patchy (Stazon ink is drying out) which I like, and cloudy because I took the picture before the glossy accents had dried. I'm pleased with the overall effect, and hopefully it's art journally enough to fir the bill.

Art Journal CJ Entry 1 from Sian to Chris
Hello Secret Swappers,
Here's my entry for Chris's "She" theme. I do believe she mentioned liking christy Tomlinsons She Art and as I love it too and have a number of those stamps I decided to style a page on it. Styling a page on it became scraplifting *cough* copying *cough* one of Christy's pages... here's the pics:
Here is the original artwork from Christy Tomlinson:
I'm not sure how appealing this is to people who aren't She Art friendly/aware... but I absolutely love it and will be making more versions for myself - hopefully Chris will like it too :)

And here's some piccies of my "lifted" version:
This is the background before I added the "She Leaped" figure. I stamped a She Art background all over the paper then drew the black lines with a medium pitt pen, added some "stitching" and patterns/lines then used pro-markers to colour it all in. I also added some She Art rub-ons you can see the green circles, yellow heart, purpls circles, white stitching... finally I added some She Art die cuts... butterflies, bird and flowers.

Art Journal Page '' Favourite stamps''
Hi , this is my first page for Yolanda ( for send out day 1st September )
Background is painted in acrylic paint.
I then used old jeans fabric and painted it white and pressed on top of the
coloured acrylic to create a texture.
I then used some of my favourite stamps.
3 different heart stamps and a gorguss Purrrrrfect Pals stamp.
I outlined the hearts with a white gel pen and doodled with a black gel pen.
Hope you like it, thanks for looking :)
22 Aug 2012 - Blog Update. (For sending 1st September)

Karen's Journal
Hello peeps :D
This is where I will be sharing my (not very good) art journal pages. I am part of 2 AJ CJs, I don't have a theme as such for my own journal, but have sent around 7x5 sheets of watercolour paper for people to do anything they want :) I will also add pages that I have done for other people too for their journals. The 2 CJ names are 'From the Ashes' and 'Secret Swappers' (so you know what I am referring to when I mention those words lol !!
1st up we have my title page and 2 completed pages for my 'Ashes' CJ
The next pages are a double LO I did for Marie's journal (again, part of the Ashes CJ) Her theme is 'Today I'm feeling ....' and she caught me on a bad day lol !!
Back in a month with the next instalment !!
